Chappals Organization is a 501(c) nonprofit organization registered in the State of Texas, of the United States of America. This is organization was created in 2013 with the simple intention to give people a new walk on life. Our philosophy is to provide foot wear to those who lack the resources to attain these basic necessities.
We collect new and recycled shoes and support development projects in some of the poorest parts of the world. These footwear empower people to walk on their feet throughout the day for during their work or school time; and improve the overall quality of life for underprivileged people globally.
Growing up in the United States, transportation to school was always provided. If I didn’t go to school by bus or car, at the most I would walk is a mile or so. However, most kids in rural areas residing in other countries have the hardship of walking barefoot, leaving them not only in pain from walking but also susceptible to other infections and potential diseases. My father grew up telling me the hardships walking 4 miles to and from school. He would be very exhausted and left with blisters only to repeat the walk the following day. Therefore, Chappals.org is committed to giving footwear to those in need. Chappals Organization “Chappals.org” was founded by Mahesh and Nikita Tangella. The Tangella Family currently reside in Dallas, Texas.
